About Pixy.

Pixy is a tiny screen inspector: a free online monitor and display test that runs locally in your browser.

Creator

Pixy was created by Amit Patnaik as a fast, friendly way to check a screen before judging a laptop, monitor, tablet, or phone display.

What Pixy measures

Pixy checks browser-observed resolution, pixel density, colour depth, colour gamut, HDR support, approximate refresh rate, uniformity patterns, and frame timing stability.

What Pixy does not know

Browsers usually hide exact monitor model, maker, panel type, brightness, contrast ratio, calibration, and true response time.

Why it exists

Most screen test pages are either plain colour slides or dense technical tools. Pixy keeps the useful full-screen inspection panels, adds an understandable score, and explains the limits clearly so users do not confuse browser signals with lab measurements.
